In glaer, the sounds of Maja’s voice are treated digitally with various effects by Kristof, using Pure Data patches. She is using a theremin that allows her to change the parameters of those effects. The sound of the theremin itself is no heard, it’s purely used as control interface.
Glaer is not a written out composition, but an open structure that leaves room for improvisation.
