Morf is a project by Laura Maes and Kristof Lauwers that focuses on the live processing of data. Several instruments (quarter tone guitar, cello, slide guitar, self-built electronics) and objects (glasses, …) feed patches made in the open-source program Pure Data. The processed input , either or not together with the original sound, is played back, combined with field recordings and purely electronic sounds.
Later on, the resulting audio will function as input for the generation of images in the open-source program Processing.<br>The first track, “Waiters at a galop” has been selected by Nicolas Collins for the 6th Sound and Music Computing conference 2009 in Casa de Musica, Porto.
